Anyway, the point is I've been running hard on the spot for since the new year. I started the year off with a tripple whammy of amazing weddings, all of which will be blogged in due course (along with some lovely autumn and winter weddings from last year!). I've also been working away on my new website with the help of the fantastic Glenn from Atelier 1A. This will be revealed shortly, once we've finished putting the finishing touches on it! It'll be well worth the wait, as until now I've only had this little blog to showcase my work. I'm also excited to be designing the flowers for Glenn and his finance Heather for their lovely wedding this summer!
There was also the run up to St. Valentines Day with the ever gorgeous Pierrot et Coco, followed by the latest edition of the Glasgow Wedding Collective Fayre at The Lighthouse. Phew! Now for the pictures!
I decided to steer away from the soft vintage colours and blast everyone with vibrant yellowy-orangey-peachy shades, contrasting with bright blues. Everyone needs a bit of a blast in the winter after all. It was inspired partly by this wedding last summer and partly by the designs for one of my lovely couples who are marrying this summer. I got in all my of-the-moment favorites - succulents, chamomile daisies, hydrangeas, anemones, ranunculus and some incredible Italian poppies which I fell head over heels in love with. I also made some little arrangements up for my fabulous photographer friend Lauren McGlynn, who took these beautiful shots of the flowers on our stalls.
Lauren and I are *dying* to work on a wedding together, so you should of course book both of us immediately if you are getting hitched in the near future.
I also had a fantastic time working with Nikki and Claire who run Be Eventful wedding planning. We styled a bright and cheerful mexicana themed wedding table together - complete with mini cacti, vintage bottles and painted jam jars with little hints of gold and pops of bright colour everywhere!
All in all, a good day was had! And also, I got to sleep all day the day after, which was well deserved and utterly delightful.
Signing out for now lovelies, watch this space xxx
